Plan a trip with your crew
Start by creating a trip and inviting the people coming along. From there you can gather ideas: ask MyBot for suggestions, pull in things to do, or add your own. Put the shortlist to a vote so everyone can pick what they love, then build the winners into one shared itinerary the whole group can see and shape.
Every collaborator can add options, cast votes, and follow along as the plan takes shape. When you are ready, share the itinerary so everyone stays on the same page from booking through the trip itself.
Privacy & security
We keep authentication tokens in secure HttpOnly cookies and use short-lived JWTs for the API. Shared trips only sync when you opt in. You can reset tokens and revoke crews at any time from the Account page.
Planning data lives in the region closest to your collaborators. All exports (including calendar files) happen inside your browser so you stay in control of what is shared externally.
Crews & collaboration
Crews centralise itineraries, PairMatch comparisons, and shared notes. Use crews when you want to keep more than two people aligned. Each member can run their own searches; favourites and saved trips stay personal unless you choose to share them.
Coming soon: threaded comments and chat so you can keep discussion in the same workspace as your planning tools.
PairMatch playbook
PairMatch is an optional side mode for two travellers who want to coordinate quickly. Start by ranking destinations, pick your preferred weekend bias, and let the comparison lab guide your conversation. You can export the outcomes into the trip planner and keep iterating together.
When the Pair Priority Alignment score reaches 0.7 or higher you have a strong overlap. Use the bonding prompts in the lab rounds to turn that alignment into a concrete itinerary.
Frequently asked questions
How do I plan a trip with my group?
Create a trip, invite your crew, and gather ideas together. Ask MyBot for suggestions or add your own, put the options to a vote so everyone can pick their favourites, then build the winners into a shared itinerary you can all see and shape.
How does PairMatch compatibility work?
PairMatch is an optional side mode for two travellers who want to compare wish lists one-on-one. It blends each traveller's ranked destinations with shared interests. The Pair Priority Alignment score reflects how closely your wish lists overlap, while weekend bias nudges suggestions toward the departures that work best for both of you.
What data is synced when I share a trip?
Trips created in the planner live in your browser until you sync them. When you share a trip, we only store the title, dates, summary, and itinerary blocks needed to collaborate. Sensitive notes and links stay in your control.
Can I invite non-members to collaborate?
Yes. Crews support email invites so friends can join even if they do not have an account yet. Invitees receive a secure link to accept and see the trip details you share.
How is pricing calculated in the preview?
Live searches blend cached fare data with mock pricing so you get fast previews. Connect your account to enable live flight and hotel lookups and see updated totals in your preferred currency.
Where can I report a bug or request a feature?
Use the feedback prompt in the footer or email support@letspickatrip.com. We review suggestions weekly and update the roadmap doc maintained in the repository.
